Inter School Competitions

Dear All,

Date of the event: 5th November 2016 –Saturday – 8 am to 4.30 pm

Venue: Thiru V C V Govt Hr Sec School, Vellakinar, Coimbatore – 641029

Purpose of event:

To conduct inter school competitions on the following for 6th to +2 std students from Govt schools located in Karamadai Block, Sarkar Samaikulam Block, Periyanaickenpalayam Block and Coimbatore corporation and motivate the students.

1. Quiz
2. Translation
3. English Recitation
4. On the spot essay
5. Social Issue solving

Highlights:

1. Indiasudar obtained permission from Chief Educational Officer, Coimbatore Dt to conduct the events.

2. Circular with event details was prepared and sent to each school by e-mail and speed post / courier. Subsequently phone calls to each school and visit to schools were also carried out.

3. Vehicle was arranged to bring the students from Thudiyalur Bus stand to the venue. In addition, Transport allowance was given to each school.

4. Lunch, Tea and snacks (Morning and evening) were also provided to all participants, volunteers and teachers.

5. Volunteers from Harman International, Indiasudar and VCV Govt Hr Sec School contributed in various aspects and made the event successful.

6. Expenses such as charges for venue, audio systems, photography,LCD projector, digital printing of event invitation/circular were avoided.

7. Remuneration to judges for each event was minimized by bringing service minded resource persons from Indiasudar and Govt schools.

8. Stationary was provided to participants for essay, translation, quiz and social issue solving competitions.

9. Maximum expenses were spent towards prizes to students, mementos to each school and teachers. Prizes were distributed to audience too during quiz program.

10. The quality of programs and prizes were given high priority. Medals, certificate folders, Bags, books from premier publications including The Hindu, photo frame of Dr. APJ Kalam’s 10 commandments to teachers, photo frame of famous quotes, appreciation certificates, participation certificates, pen stands were purchased from whole sale shops from Madurai, Bangalore, Hosur and online.

14. Competitions (except recitation) were conducted in such a way that to test students’ talent on the spot (without prior preparation)

15. Mr R Palanisamy, (Retired) Headmaster, Govt Hr Sec School, Velliyankadu , Coimbatore DT was invited as chief guest for the prize distribution. Headmaster of VCV govt Hr Sec School and Trustees of Indiasudar were also distributed prizes. Motivational speech were given and importance of moral values was addressed.

16. The function went very well without any hiccups. Teachers from various schools appreciated the program. Plan, agenda, preparation, time management, quality of the prizes were appreciated. More than 100 programs are being conducted every year by various industries to school students. Hence active participation from Govt schools started reducing year by year. Amidst this trend, the event was really successful (though it is the first event from Harman International and Indiasudar).

REQUEST -Emergency Situation – Kindly Help

DEAR MEMBERS,

INDIASUDAR REQUESTS EVERYONE OF YOU TO CONSIDER THIS E-MAIL AND DO THE NEEDFUL.

We do not have sufficient amount to settle salary for Teachers deployed by Indiasudar. We are supposed to provide salary by 5th Dec 2016. But due to insufficient amount in our account, we could not do.

TN- Proj Report- Motivation session and Library Inauguration @ MM School, Komarapalayam

Dear All,

Indiasudar conducted Motivational and Interaction session with students of Municipality Middle school, Komarapalayam,Namakkal Dt on 1st Nov 2016.

Motivational Movies prepared by Indiasudar were shown to students.Some GK questions and small competitions were conducted.

We purchased few writing pads and pens and staplers for students to encourage them.

School teachers were also present.

On the same day

School has inaugurated the Library provided by Indiasudar. Our partner organisation -Helping Minds has contributed the books for Library.

Rs. 30264 has been spent towards creating a separate library for this school. This Library will serve the need for another 10 years. Indiasudar will support books and magazines further.

On behalf of us, I asked one of the students to inaugurate the library. The function was grand success.

TN : Proj Report- SEBLA- Special camp at Middle school, B.Komarapalayam,Namakkal Dt

Dear All,

On 4th and 5th Oct 2016 , Our teachers Mr Periyasamy, Mr Ashok and Mr Ravi visited our onsite Municipality Middle School, Komarapalayam,Namakkal Dt.

They explained the basics of Science (Hands on experiments-Low cost models) to students of 6th , 7th and 8th std.

The students got excited and good interactions happened between teachers and students. It really helped them to understand.

Approx. 180 students got benefited.
