On 26th we (Uday, Sunil, Raaghu & Vinod) visited long pending Janaseva Vidya Kendra Chennanahalli, Magadi Main Road. One of IS beneficiary(Mahesh Bellavi) is working as a teacher in this kendra. For long time Mahesh wanted us to visit the Vidya Kendra.
About Janaseva Vidya Kendra: One of the well known residential school in karnataka. Here from 5th std to 10th standard residential eduction is covered, Followed by PUC. One of the best thing is "Gurukula", ancient "Gurukula" where students get better opportunities to get explore themselves.
In Gurukula, its 7 years of course and Vedas, Vedenta, Sanskrit are thought here. Every year only 10 students are admitted in Gurukula. Post Gurukula, students continue there career in schools, colleges, cultural ambassador and various others post.
Mahesh is working in Janaseva Vidya Kendra as a teacher and wardan here. Towards evening Mahesh is considerably free and in his free time he used to go to near by village and teaches for 1 – 2 hours in a small room. He is being teaching for past 3 months. Village ppl where happy and offered a bigger space temple for teaching. We visited the place and we were quite impressed. We wanted to support Mahesh Financially and continue the educational cause, we started a IS Tuition center. This IS Tution Center will be run by Mahesh and present all the report the progress report to IS on regular basis.
