The session was arranged by Indiasudar and Udhavum Nanbargal Charitable Trust,Chennai.

Chief Guest:

Prof. Chidamabarm.M, Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology ,Chennai was our chief guest. He joined with us besides his schedule and interacted with us and enquired about Indiasudar’s vision and activities.

His speech was really good.

The speech was simple and had many hidden and valuable information such as Self discipline when population is high, positive attitude, requirements for teachers and students, motivation and learning.

Our sincere thanks to him.

Career Guidance session

This was jointly taken by Ram kumar , Rajamadasamy and balamanikandan.K

We explained various career options available to students after 10th and +2.

We also played our motivational movies to inspire the students.

Career Guidance booklets were given to students at the end of the session. Books were sponsored by Malar Trust. Thanks to Malar Trust !

Project Cost from Indiasudar: 1755 Rs only.

• All arrangements such as venue, requisition to bring students to the venue, transport , meals , tea , memento (Books) to school teachers are taken care by Udhavum Nanbargal.
• Around 30 students from Indiasudar tuition centre (Udhavum Nanbargal) contributed their valuable time and they worked under the guidance of Mr.Sarathy. Thanks to Udhavum Nanbargal !
• NSS students of sakthi college helped us to meet all our requirements. Thanks to them!

We thank each and every one of Indiasudar who keeps supporting our activities and thanks for the arrangement and presence to encourage the students.

indiasudar-ocp Part 2 Proj Report: special session for civil service aspirants-Chennai 1 Attachment

Dear All

On August 15 2011, we arranged a special session for civil service aspirants at Sakthi Engineering College, Chennai.

The session was started by 2.30 Pm.

I explained the preparation strategies, discussed with previous year question papers, model answer sheets, tips, dos and don’ts etc.

No of beneficiaries: 19 Project cost: 350 Rs. (Xerox)

Students from thiruvallur, Chennai, kanchipuram, karur and cuddalore participated and got benefited.

One candidate is from +1 and other are from colleges.

The 1 ½ hr session was really useful and Indiasudar will keep helping them based on their need.

We also started an e-group indiasudar-cs to guide and support them.

OneKidOneFifty project -Independence Day Celebrations

Hello friends,

Please find below the particulars of the Independence Day celebration in AmberPet Govt. Girls High School & MachaBollarum govt. primary school conducted by AP-IS team members.

Date: 15^th Aug, 2011

School visited: Government Girls High School, Amber Pet & Govt. primary school at MachaBollarum

Members Involved: Ravi, Vinay, Girish, Arun, Sai Ajit, Aravind, Harish, Nivali, Venkatesh, Pradeep, Nageshwar Rao, Geethanjali, Naresh, ChandraSekhar, RamaKrishna

Duration of the Event: 08:45am – 11:15am

Number of Students participated: 220+

Number of Teachers participated: 45+

About Program: This event being kick event for AP-IS Team, success was very important. We had many ups and downs in organizing, Coordinating and conducting. Thanks to all those who have directly and indirectly helped us to make it a successful event.

About Amberpet School: It was more than a normal Govt. School. It was an old building which had no proper roof, class rooms or an office and staff rooms.  More than 200 students were registered on paper from both Telugu and Urdu medium. Most of the students are from below poverty line, they carried books in plastic covers.

About MachaBollarm School: This school is located in a slum called Erukula Basti or Ekalavya Gopalanagar, Macha Bollaram. 100% of the students are from Below poverty line. The school doesn’t have compound wall.  By afternoon Pigs get in to the school compound. The flooring in the class rooms is not suitable to accommodate the students.   They do not have any benches or mats to sit. They do not have fans in the class rooms. More than 170 students were registered out of which 120 students used to come to the school.

Sequence of Events:

1)  Amberpet school:

100+ Students from both Telugu and Urdu medium students were assembled in the school. Enthusiasm was clearly evident on both – teachers as well as students faces.

Flag was hosted by Head Mistress of the school @ 8:45am followed by National Anthem and then powerful and motivational speech from HM to students, Teachers and other staff members. HM motivated students by referring that school as Shantinektan (Ravindra Nath Tagore’s concept of conducting classes under trees). Students from different age group sang song in the remembrance of freedom fighters and the freedom movement. Motivational and encouragement speech from one of the science teacher, she stressed on Unity and hard work. Students were very studious and patiently hearing to her.

Ravi represented AP-IS Team, He gave few tips on how to crack prepare for exams with a time table to study. He stressed on importance of education and what education can do in their life. Arun another volunteer spoke about IS and its programs and gave few highlights of OneKidOneFifty Program. By end of this sun was on the top of us.

Finally it was time for sweets and gifts to students. Teachers sent the students class-wise to collect the gifts from HM and followed by other senior teachers, AP-IS volunteers.

By this time, all of us were very hungry and we treated ourselves with some sweet and hot; chocolates and tea in the school. We socialized ourselves and discussed ups and downs of the event.

India Sudar thanks School Headmistress of Amber Pet, Helen – Physical Trainer, and again the Volunteers involved for taking special interest in making this event successful.

Below is feedback from school:
1. Students & Teachers are very happy with the quality of bags and stationary.
2. Head mistress, teachers and students are thankful to each and every person who are directly or indirectly involved in this project.
3. Students drop outs are more. Need parents counseling.

We have received below request from School and planning to cover in next event:

Teachers: One teacher for Hindi and Telugu Teachers for Sixth to tenth class, Two computer instructors for sixth to tenth class.
Educational materials: For sixth to tenth class students.
Games: a. Volley balls – 10, Chess boards-2, tennikoit (Rings)-10, Skipping -50,  Shuttle bats, Corks – 5 pairs, Carrom board-2
Books: Royal Atlas Telugu-10, English-20
Other items: Water Filter

India Sudar Event report: Career guidance program at Govt Hr Sec School, Vellaingadu, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu

Hello all,

Last Saturday we went to Govt Hr Sec School, Vellaingadu, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. We have conducted Career guidance session to +1 students followed by motivational session. We have played "Vaiya Thalaimai kol" business motivated video in Tamil prepared by India Sudar. The program was good and students said they have learnt many things about career options. School HM Mr.Palanisamy sir felicitated the program.

Total benefitted students: 80

Tamil Nadu Career Guidance program,Thiruvallur District,TN

Hi All,

About 175 students of TMKV Gov Boys Hr Sec School, participated in Career Guidance program conducted at school premises by India Sudar on Sunday 14-Aug-2011. The Parents of these students work as weavers. Mr Vinayagam Sir is taking various steps to improve the students knowledge by Career Guidance program. India Sudar Trustee K.Balamanikandan started Power point presentation by professional and non professional jobs including catering business, public administration jobs, tour guide, fashion designers. Besides , IS member Ram Kumar also discussed about arts and science courses available,its corresponding departments, scope for job and other details such as Government aided benefits and scholarships. At the end of the presentation ,there was interactive session. Also motivational speech was given by Sargunan T.
