Tamil Nadu Discussion with Hope Trust – Madurai Visit Report

Dear All,

I met Umarani,Hope Trust on 19th May 2010 at Hope Trust office,Madurai. Hope Trust are requesting to India Sudar to support Tution Teacher deployment in Corporation school ,madurai. They got the permission from madurai corporation commissioner and they are working with seven corporation schools.
They select the students who are all failed in all subject in the Quarterly Exam.

About Hope Trust:

Hope trust started in 2008 in madurai .The trust has got 12AA and 80 G certificate. Their objective is providing quality education for the poor and the deprived children.

Hope Trust projects Types are:

3.Learning Accelerator
4. Personality Development

They are collecting the funds from friends and known circle so far. They have supported nearly 2000 students so far. The have spent nearly Rs 1.5 lacks

Teacher’s salary per month: Rs 1000
Duration: September to Febuary
No of Teachers: 1 to 10

Hop trust is maintaining Head master’s appriciation letters, students marks, students attendance.
